Biography

I started taking pictures when I was about 6, my Dad always had cameras and I would borrow them. I have always had a huge passion for photography, particularly documentary.

I attended the prestigious Bournemouth & Poole College of Art, students come from all over the world to attend. I was there for three years and studied to post-grad level. In my final year, I was under the mentorship of famed Art Director Vaughan Oliver, during this time I worked heavily on developing a personal style. A style which still holds me in good stead today.

My interest in wedding photography came after I shot the wedding of a friend. I enjoyed the story telling aspect of it and loved being a fly on the wall. People raved about the pictures and pretty soon I was photographing more and more of my friends! It just snowballed from there.

I became a full time wedding photographer in 1997 and I now shoot weddings exclusively and travel all over the world to photograph them. I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings.

To me there’s no better job in the world.

My first book “Wedding Photography – A Guide to Photojournalism” was released in July 2010 to excellent reviews.

The business consists of me as the sole photographer and my husband Grant, who manages the office and keeps me organised.
